Frequently Asked Questions
Veterinarians
Is Health Bid Network Insurance?
No. Health Bid Network is NOT Insurance, nor do we pay claims. We simply provide a communication system between potential Health Care Consumers and Health Care Providers. The actual negotiation and completion of an encounter remains exactly as it is today. Self Funded Employers and Insurers may use our system to find cost savings for covered services, but in all cases, the final negotiation, patient encounter, and provider service is conducted just as it is under any other scenario. You will still phone the provider and schedule an appointment just as you do now.
Why do you charge a $10.00 Dollar Registration Fee for Families?
Our two primary sources of revenue are advertising and the annual fee paid by our Physicians and other Providers. Your $10.00 annual fee is primarily charged to ensure our Providers  receive only serious Cases.
How does the $200.00 Dollar Provider Fee work?
Our annual registration fee for Providers basically covers (1) clinician/practitioner or bed (if a Hospital). Each additional practitioner at a single office is $100.00 dollars per year. Hospitals pay $100.00 dollars per year per bed. Once registered, you are free to browse and bid on open cases for one full year.
Can Employers and Insurers Participate?
Yes, we have programs available that allow you to participate on Health Bid Network. Please contact us to learn more.
Do I have to accept a bid or take the lowest bid?
Absolutely not; you are free to accept, deny or negotiate any reponses you receive or do nothing at all. There is no obligation to complete a bid process.
Do you publish ratings on your participating providers?
No. We believe most internet rating programs are too open ended, unprofessional and too susceptible to unfair comments. You can use our system to send private comments to a provider and initiate a private dialog, which we believe is the appropriate avenue to use.
